Great Things, in Hamilton, secured the 170 trees of varying sizes and prices in an attempt to alleviate the expected shortage in Bermuda this year.

A spokesman from the store said they could be reserved with a $50 deposit. Any businesses yet to find a tree may be interested in some 12-foot beauties expected in the load, he said.

Management and staff at the shop also thanked customers for the "jovial attitude'' and orderly conduct during the long wait for trees to arrive today.
