final matches at the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships in the Bahamas.

The duo, top seeds in their respective under 19 and under 14 divisions, brushed aside the competition, with Kyme scoring a 3-1 victory over Trinidad's Kwame Johnson and Stout beating Guyana's Edward Sears 3-0.

Kyme's display of hard-hitting, aggressive squash was too much for Johnson whose play was characterised by loose shots, unforced errors and an emphasis on retrieving. Nevertheless, it was enough to upset Kyme's rhythm in the second game, which the Trinidadian won 9-6.

But Kyme forced Johnson into more errors to take the final two 9-4 and 9-2 to add to his first game's 9-1 score.

Stout was not at his best, but was resourceful enough to dispatch Sears 9-5, 9-1, 9-1.

Meanwhile, unseeded 13-year-old Jessica Mitchell upset number one seed Andrea King of Guyana in a nail-biting, five-game affair in the girls' under 14 semi-final. However, she was unable to sustain her aggressive approach and went down 3-0 in a fairly one-sided contest against Barbadian Tracey Goodridge in the final.

In the boys' team event, Bermuda overcame Trinidad, the Bahamas and Barbados in Group B to advance to a semi-final meeting with Guyana, Group A runners-up, due to take place last night.
