Lambe to take on Trinidad
Ipswich manager Roy Keane has given Reggie Lambe the green light to join up with the Bermuda Under-23 squad over the festive period.
Lambe's availability will serve as a huge boost for coach Scott Morton whose team take on tourists Trinidad in two friendly matches on December 28 and New Year's Day.
Keane joked that the matches had been suspiciously timed, as they would allow Lambe to spend his mid-season break in sunnier climes.
"They've been well planned those games over the Christmas period!
"Reggie's going to get some games and may be at home for a few days as well," he said. "I think Reggie's organised them.
"I've never stopped and never will stop my players going away to represent their countries and, as I say, the games have fallen into place nicely, with the sun on his back.
"With no reserve matches Reggie would have been given time off to go home anyway, just like a lot of our young lads and I'm sure Reggie will get one or two days off between the games."
The 18-year-old, who made his first and so far only Town appearance at Shrewsbury in the Carling Cup earlier in the season, last played for the Under-23s in May against Pittsburgh Riverhounds from the USL-D2.
He has won nine full caps, scoring all four of his international goals in a Digicel Cup match against St Martin in August 2008.
Trinidad also face Devonshire Cougars on December 30.
All games will be played at the National Sports Centre.
