Motorcyclist injured after collision with trash truck
A man suffered leg injuries when his motorcycle collided with a garbage truck in St. George's yesterday.
According to the Police, the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on Secretary Road when the accident happened.
The rider, aged 26, from Hamilton Parish, was taken to hospital. The garbage truck driver, a 41-year-old woman from Smith's, was uninjured.
The motorcycle suffered front-end damage but the truck was not damaged.
Flat screen TV, cash taken in burglary
A black 32in flat screen television and cash were stolen during a burglary in Barnes Valley, Paget.
The break-in occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Monday and 2.30 a.m yesterday.
The home was unoccupied at the time.
Fifty-seven people injured in road crashes in March
A total of 18 road users were injured in crashes in the past week bringing the injury tally for March so far to 57.
A further 40 collisions caused damage to the vehicles only.
Seven people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, and nine auxiliary cycles and motorcycles were stolen.
One has since been recovered.
The statistics, released by the Police yesterday, cover the period March 22 to March 29.
