Police issue warning about road safety
The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to use care, caution and courtesy on our roads.
Residents are also urged to use their seat belts, fasten their helmets on motorcycles and avoid making a third lane.
During the week of Monday, February 23 to Monday, March 2, there were 19 injury collisions and 34 damage only collisions reported. Additionally, five persons were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Eighteen vehicles were reported stolen two each from St. George's, Warwick and Paget; six from Pembroke; one from Southampton and three from Sandys Parish. All of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles. Of the 18 vehicles reported stolen, six were subsequently recovered.
Flat screen TV stolen
A thief stole a flat screen TV from a home in Sandys Parish Monday.
Police reported the incident took place sometime between 11.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., while the Pine Tree Lane residence was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 40-inch black and silver Samsung flat screen TV.
