Chicagoans celebrate anniversary visit

Live from Bermuda:Chicago DJ Herb Kent interviewedMinister of Tourism Dr. Ewart Brown who was featured in a live radio broadcast to Chicago.

Two Chicago radio stations brought 100 fans to Bermuda at the weekend to celebrate their tenth anniversary of live broadcasts from the Island.

The Whaler Inn at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel was the venue for the event which kicked off with a live broadcast starting on Friday and ending on Saturday.

Tourism and Transport Minister Ewart Brown was interviewed by Radio Hall of Famer DJ Herb Kent, in a segment which reached millions of fans in Chicago. DJ ?Crazy? Howard McGee also participated in the broadcast which featured interviews with local hospitality officials including Fairmont Southampton general manager Allan Trew.

?Congratulations to V103 and WGCI on their tenth anniversary live broadcasts from Bermuda. We are very excited to hear the airwaves have been buzzing with pop and sizzle about Bermuda,? Dr. Brown said. ?I hear radio stations were saturated with calls from Chicago fans about the Bermuda trip. We are very proud to have the live broadcasts from Bermuda.?
