Tucker and Maycock lead the way at Warwick Lanes

Tenpin bowling has proved to be the most popular sport at the Corporate Games in terms of entries and there was plenty of action on the Warwick Lanes yesterday as the tournament began.Patrice Tucker and David Maycock took the spotlight, taking the women’s and men’s scratch open divisions.Tucker rolled a 513 series while Sharon Gibson was second with a 489 series and Shantaye Wolffe third on 482.Maycock, representing Bacardi, led the men’s scratch open with a 666 while Billy Glasford was second on 632 and Dwayne Trott third on 572.Pat Price recorded a 599 series to take first spot in the women’s 40-plus scratch while Kathleen Christopher and Rochelle Harvey were second and third respectively with scores of 558 and 532.Laura Simons was the handicap women’s open winner with a 658 series while second-placed Ann Botelho had a 646 series and Weneika Steede was third on 638.Anthony Smith won the men’s 40-plus scratch series with a score of 681 while Carl Reid and Casey Burgess of Bacardi were second and third on 629 and 570 respectively.The men’s handicap open winner was James Dowling with a 668 while Gareath Adderley was second on 653 and Andre Place third on 651.
