The first was reported at 11.40 a.m. at a house on Tulo Lane in Spanish Point.Three trucks and 11 fire fighters responded.

The first was reported at 11.40 a.m. at a house on Tulo Lane in Spanish Point.
Three trucks and 11 fire fighters responded. The fire was caused by a heating element in an electric oven which was all that was damaged. Damage was put at $100.
The second fire was reported at 12.45 p.m. in the kitchen of a Stadium Heights Lane house where a pot of oil on the stove overheated and "flashed'', causing an estimated $100 of smoke damage to the ceiling.
