A and B Division standings showed little or no change.

Canaries produced the only B Division win when they stopped Swallows 2-0 on goals in each half from Ali Cameron.

Canaries' unbeaten A Division team had to settle for a share of the points against a determined Swallows side as their match ended 2-2.

Swallows were rewarded for their hard work with a beauty of a goal from Karen Turner on a pass from Liz Osborne. Canaries had a good opportunity to equalise midway through the first half when they were awarded a penalty flick. But Rhonda Rawlins' effort was sent straight at goalkeeper Trish Duncan who made the save.

Sam Patton put Swallows 2-0 up before the end of the first half, leaving Canaries with a huge job after the break. But they were equal to that task, tightening their defence and creating more opportunities at the other end. And they were rewarded when Emma Garon put them on the scoresheet with a shot from the top of the circle.

Rawlins then made amends for her penalty miss when she scored the second.

Despite having two players sent off (one given the red card and the other a yellow which resulted in a five-minute sit out) Canaries held on for the draw.

Cardinals and Bluebirds shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

Cardinals opened the scoring in the first half when Maria Pichery passed to an unmarked Caroline Cash who then slammed the ball home.

But Bluebirds came out fighting in the second half and were justly rewarded with a goal from Sarah Maltby.

Several more opportunities were created but both teams had trouble finding the net.

One of the best chances fell to Ailsa Campbell of Bluebirds whose shot towards an empty goal was cleared by Brenda Smith.

Carla Pedro had an outstanding game in the Cardinals goal.

The two B Division matches between Bluebirds and Cardinals and Swallows and Orioles both finished scoreless.

MEN'S LEAGUE League leaders in men's hockey, Chameleons, enjoyed a runaway 6-1 win over Wasps in the top-of-the-table clash...but not before Wasps stung them with a goal in the first minute.

Paul Farrington broke the deadlock with that early goal but Chameleons rose to the challenge and levelled the score through Jon Dodd with a one-time chip from the centre of the circle.

The Reds then turned up the heat and added another from Pete Norris after a series of crisp passes. The third came when Dodd dribbled past two defenders and rounded the goalkeeper.

In the second half Wasps were still unable to counter Chameleons' possession play and the rout was on when Martin Ford blasted home a high bouncing ball from the top of the circle. Dodd then finished a well worked short corner for a hat-trick before adding his fourth and the team's sixth just before the final whistle.

Polecats started the day's first match short-handed against Upstarts but still managed to pull off a 1-0 victory.

Upstarts were unlucky not to take an early lead when a shot went narrowly wide. Polecats then scrambled a goal-line clearance before Upstarts were again denied by an infringement which resulted in a goal being called back. After a hectic first 10 minutes the pace settled down for the rest of the half.

The second period brought about more controlled hockey and chances were produced at both ends before Lee Uddin fired Polecats ahead from close range.

Upstarts poured on the pressure in an attempt to draw even, but Polecats' veteran 'keeper Davie Kerr secured victory when he denied a flurry of shots from Tom Wilson and Mark Bendzsa in the last minute.
