Deputy Police Commissioner honoured

Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Jackman has been awarded the Overseas Territories Police Medal for Meritorious Service.Mr Jackman, who came to Bermuda from Barbados in 1982, was announced as a winner of the award, formerly the Colonial Police Medal, in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.As Deputy Commissioner, he has responsibility for finance, human resources and information management and is the force’s discipline officer.A former chairman of Bermuda Police Association, Mr Jackman has extensive experience and training and has attended policing agencies such as Interpol and the United Nations Office for Drugs & Crime.
