Delay warning from double-hit courier service
Couriers ZipX have announced that clearing shipments has been ‘negatively affected’ in the aftermath of Hurricane Gonzalo.
IBC management explained in a press release this afternoon they are unable to operate at their temporary facility at the LF Wade International Airport airport due to storm damage. They had been forced to move from their original location as a result of damage as a result of Tropical Storm Fay.
They stated: “Please be advised that due to the damage caused by Hurricane Gonzalo we can no longer operate in our temporary facility at the Airport.
“We have found a new location and will be in the process of moving our materials over the next two to three days.
“During this time our ability to clear shipments will be negatively affected.”
IBC said that consignments in the courier company’s original location were “deemed off limits” because of the damage from last weekend’s Tropical Storm Fay. “We are still waiting for a team from the Department of Airport Operations to safely remove the shipments so that we may finally process them,” the courier stated.
“We ask that you continue to be patient with us and we wish to thank you for your understanding.”
