Julie Perry was formally admitted to the degree of Master of Social Work (MSW) at University of Toronto on June 5, 2003. In attendance were her parents, Gilbert and Lorna Perry of Paget.

Julie attended the Gilbert Institute and Warwick Academy. She was a recipient of the United World College Scholarship and attended the Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong, where she received her International Baccalaureate Diploma. Julie is also a graduate of Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, where she received a B.A. (Honours) Degree in Sociology.

She is presently employed in Liverpool, UK with Liverpool Social Services, as a member of their leaving care team.
