Sara Norfleet
Sarah Norfleet, who is assisting Tory Dodge in planning next week?s College Fair, has been the programme director at the F.L.Chamberlain School since 1983.
Recently changed to Director of Development, she began to do more development for the programme over the last few years. Chamberlain School is a private, not for profit, day and residential school for students ages 11-20 with learning, behavioural, emotional issues or any combination.
Chamberlain offers a highly structured academic, therapeutic and residential experience. Students attend classes on grounds with a small staff to student ratio.
Most classrooms are comprised of eight students with a teacher and an associate teacher. All students have Individual education plans which are specific to their learning and emotional needs. There is a therapeutic/behavioral level system to help guide students in a positive reinforcement model to shaping more appropriate behaviours. Residential staff carry out daily living skills with the students as well as numerous on grounds and off grounds activities. If Chamberlain is of interest you can find more info on its website www.chamberlainschool.org.
