Police arrest youths
chased by a man through a park.
Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said an officer was on patrol near Black Watch Pass in Pembroke, when he spotted a man chasing the youths through the nearby park.
The officer stopped the youths and discovered that they were involved with the theft of a pedal cycle.
The man chasing them turned out to be the father of the 12-year-old bike owner.
Allegedly the youths met up with the victim and his friend near the junction of Spanish View Road and Knapton Hill.
Mrs. James Barnett said a 14-year-old Warwick youth took the bike from the victim and a 14-year-old from St. George's rode the bike away while being followed by a 15-year-old from Smith's Parish.
The three were taken to St. George's Police Station and bailed to return later this month.

Mrs. James Barnett said a Pembroke grocery store was broken into during the weekend.
An undisclosed amount of cash and 20 cartons of cigarettes were taken.
A Court Street variety store was also targeted during the weekend.

After searching the store the intruder(s) found the keys to the safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
