Walk about
Blustery weather failed to dampen the spirits of participants in the 2012 Palm Sunday walk. The annual event, organised by the Bermuda National Trust, draws walkers in their hundreds. This year’s walk featured Smith’s, with entrants setting out from the Whitney Institute early in the afternoon and travelling along Middle Road and South Road. The traditional event is arranged to highlight areas of natural and cultural interest. This year’s included the historic residence at Verdmont, and covered about five miles of road.
