The Bermuda National Dance Theatre did Bermuda proud at the seventh annual Carifesta in St. Kitts.
Theatre productions, Conversations, Revolving Triangles and Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, were three productions performed all this week in the town of Basseterre.
The performances were so well received that all the cast, crew and directors, have been invited to Trinidad in December to perform them again.
Also at the festival was the Warner's Gombey troupe, who had a showing twice in the Grand Market and were enjoyed greatly by the local audience.
And Bermudian chef, Sean Ming has been showing off the Island's flavours by cooking up cassava pie, fish cakes, hashed shark and curried mussels.
Ms Grace Rawlins, Director of Community and Cultural, said: "Bermuda's energy here is high, and we are certainly enjoying the cultural exchange.'' PLAYWRIGHT TO RETURN LIB Playwright to return Making her first visit to the Island to headline the recent Poetry in the Park event organised by Friends of the National Library, Dr. Dorothy King, founder-director of the multicultural theatre company Pen Owl Productions of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was so delighted by the experience that she is planning to return next year to stage one of her original plays.
Meanwhile, Dr. Parker, who is assistant professor of social science at Penn State University in Harrisburg, donated a set of anthologies, including a book of her own poetry, to the National Library during her visit.
