Amber Farrington became the latest member of the Bermuda Bar last week at a hearing in Supreme Court.

Ms Farrington, a Bermuda High School graduate, earned a Bachelor of Arts at McGill University before turning to the University of Bristol and the University of Law in London.

She was taken in by Appleby as a summer intern and returned there for her pupillage last September.

Ms Farrington said: “I started with Appleby as a summer student in 2017. It was an honour to be named a scholarship and training contract awardee the following year.

“Thank you for the experience and amazing mentors.”

Ms Farrington, who previously worked with the Bermuda Lifeguard Service, said both the field of law and lifeguarding “require a sense of duty.”

John Wasty, head of dispute resolution at Appleby, congratulated Ms Farrington on her accomplishment.
