Bank of Butterfield scholarships
The Bank of Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship in Memory of Sir Harry D. Butterfield and the Bank of Butterfield Postgraduate Scholarship in Memory of Sir A. Dudley Spurling are both awarded to students who show outstanding academic achievement.
They are valued at $20,000 per year and are tenable for up to four years. The Bank awards two based on financial need, extra-curricular activities and academic potential, to students pursuing undergraduate degrees overseas. Each bursary is valued at $20,000 per year and is tenable for up to two years. The Bank also offers a Visual Arts Scholarship worth $5,000 to support a Bermudian student?s pursuit of education in the visual arts.
Applicants must provide:
* A completed application form, with birth certificate.
* Proof that the applicant has at least five years education in Bermuda (e.g., high school transcript).
* Academic certificates and official transcripts together with full details of grades.
* Evidence of Bermudian status (or in the case of an applicant under the age of 18, evidence that at least one parent possesses/possessed Bermudian status).
The deadline for all scholarships and bursaries is 5 p.m. on the last Friday in March. Applications may be delivered to the Human Resources Dept. at the Bank?s Head Office, c/o the Scholarship Secretary.
