A 66-year-old man has appeared in Magistrates’ Court charged with seven counts of sexual assault.

A police spokesman said the case was referred to the Supreme Court sitting on February 1 next year.

He added: “Extra time was given as he was to travel to the USA for medical and personal reasons in the interim and the defendant was released on $20,000 bail, like surety, and ordered to have no contact with the complainants in this matter.”

The defendant, who appeared on November 6, cannot be named for legal reasons.
