Soares flies into new post at BAS
president and chief financial officer. Mr. Soares is a CPA and has a B.Sc.
degree in aviation business administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He joined BAS last August as vice president of operations after interning at LA International Airport.
*** A taste of Japan in Hamilton The newest addition to the Little Venice Group, L'Oriental , is now open for business. The Japanese restaurant, located in the premises formerly occupied by The Club nightclub, is serving lunch and dinner Monday though Fridays and also features Teppanyaki tables from Wednesday through to Saturday evenings from 6 p.m. to midnight. The restaurant also features a caviar, oyster and sushi bar also open Wednesday through Saturday but from 5 p.m. to midnight.
New posts at Heritage agency George EW Smith has been promoted enrolment director for the Bermuda office of the Heritage International Scholarship Trust Plan . He has more than 15 years experience advising Bermudian families about saving for post-secondary eductaion. Charles Jeffers has bene named regional vice president for Heritage Internatioanl Agencies in the Caribbeam and will asisst Mr. Smith in the sales and service development of the Bermuda market.
HIST Foundation chief operating officer Ian Glen also announced that Winston Jones has stepped down from his post as enrolment director, having started with the office as an enrolment officer in 1983.
The Bermuda office is located in Washington Mall in the same offices as Cranleigh & Travel Planners.
