Investors will be able to learn how to make the most of the current financial climate thanks to a free public seminar held by AFL Investments at the end of this month.

The 'Investing in the New Normal' seminar, which will be at lunchtime and the evening of March 31, will look at the most effective opportunities and approaches in the markets for investors at this time.

It will address the need for investors to take a global view and how growth and return rates have been altered by the difficult economic conditions experienced in the past 18 months. The importance of assessing risk factors when allocating assets will also be explored.

The keynote speaker will be Stuart Graham, executive president of the Toronto office and head of PIMCO Canada. PIMCO is an institutional asset manager, specialising in global investment solutions.

Mr. Graham has 22 years of investment experience and, prior to joining PIMCO in 2008, he held senior management positions at MFC Global Investment Management and Fidelity Investments.

The seminar will be held in the Argus Group Training Centre in the new Argus Building at 14 Wesley Street in Hamilton. A light lunch will be served at the 12 p.m. session and a drinks reception will follow the 5.30 p.m. session.
