Breaking News: Canadian on $1.7 million drug charges

Canadian national Janet Grant appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning accused of importing drugs valued at $1.7 million into Bermuda.

Grant, 46, of Ontario, was charged with possession of cannabis, cocaine and heroin on October 21, 2010.

She was also accused of possession with the intent to supply heroin valued at $1.4 million and cocaine valued at $370,000. Court documents did not state how much cannabis she was accused of possessing.
