Devonshire Cougars 1Wolves 1Devonshire Cougars increased their lead at the top of the Digicel Premier Division to five points with their draw with Wolves at Devonshire Rec last night.A 90th minute equaliser from Moses Steede grabbed the landlords a share of the spoils against their tenants after Vincent Minors jr's first half strike.The match was evenly shared in the possession statistic, but Cougars would be left to rue missed chances against a determined and well prepared Wolves side.Cougars midfielder Korvon Tucker saw his shot well saved by goalkeeper Daniel Adams.It wasn't until referee Anthony Mouchette pointed to spot in the 42nd minute after a handball in the Cougars area that the first goal would come.Minors dually stepped and planted his effort into the bottom right hand corner.Cougars best chance of the game came after when a cross into the Wolves area found a wide open Kijuan Franks, who shot one time instead of settling himself and sliding home from six yards.Substitute Kenny Desilva also had a chance for Cougars but shot wide as the home side went searching for the leveller.It would come, however, after Che Brangman would be hauled down in the area, with Steede slotting home to grab a point.After scoring, Steede produced a picture of brother Tumaini in tribute."We played hard and it meant something to get this point, although we will feel we should have gotten the points,"said Wolves skipper Jared Peniston. "We played well as a team tonight and are unfortunate to get the win, but the point is survival and right now we got a point."The season is still to be run and we are looking to reach our goals."Premier Division continues tonight with Robin Hood taking on Flanagan’s Onions at Goose Gosling Field, with kick off set for 9pm.Tomorrow’s action see Landlords Southampton Rangers take on tenants PHC at Southampton Oval, while North Village travel to Wellington Oval to clash with St George’s.The remaining match will see Dandy Town welcome Somerset Trojans to St John’s Field.Kick off for tomorrow’s matches is 3pm.In First Division action Boulevard take on Hamilton Parish at Goose Gosling Field, while Young Men’s Social Club make the short trip to Police Field to play Prospect.Somerset Eagles hosts Ireland Rangers for West End bragging rights, and Devonshire Colts travel east to play leaders St David’s.BAA host Paget in the second game of a double header at Goose Gosling Field, with kick off at 3pm.All games start at 12.30pm unless otherwise stated.
