Weekend break-ins

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said a Clearview Guest Cottage was broken into overnight Saturday.

A staff discovered the break-in around 8.30 a.m. Sunday morning. A General Electric 19-inch colour television and remote control was stolen.

Mrs. James Barnett said a similar incident took place around the same area about 7 a.m. Saturday.

A man was reportedly seen trying to enter another of the apartments.

A Marsh Lane, Pembroke, warehouse -- adjacent to the Bermuda Mechanical Supply Company -- was broken into sometime Thursday night.

Mrs. James Barnett said a bone-coloured `Roma' toilet bowl set was stolen.

And a Devonshire couple had their quiet Sunday evening at home disturbed by a would-be thief.

Just before 9 p.m. the couple heard noises coming from the master bedroom of their Rocky Bay Lane home.

On investigating the noise, the pair spotted the figure of a person climbing out through the bedroom window.
