Sponsors take Cup Match Classic to new electronic level
St. George's Cricket Club, hosts of the 2009 Cup Match, will introduce free viewing of the two-day spectacle along with their player selection process exclusively on Fresh TV, Channel Three for the public.
On hand for the announcement yesterday was St. George's Cricket Club president Neil Paynter, Somerset president Richard Scott as well as Phillip Butterfield, CEO of HSBC Bank of Bermuda, who are the lead sponsors for the classic.
This year's game will see Fresh Creations Limited providing the public with free live coverage of both days of the annual classic on Fresh TV.
The hosts of this year's event along with HSBC Bank of Bermuda were also pleased to announce that both days of Cup Match will be streamed live on the Internet for the world to view.
Bermudians living around the world can now watch the most exciting sporting event on the Bermuda calendar from abroad.
In addition, for the first time, Fresh Creations Limited will be broadcasting the "St. Georges Cup Match Player Selection Process", live from St. George's on Saturday July 25 between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The highly anticipated player selection process will also be streamed live via the Internet.

This will be the fourth year HSBC Bank of Bermuda has been the lead sponsor of Cup Match and is proud to announce that as of this year, the Bank has entered into a three-year contract with the St. George's Cricket Club.
This year, the Bank has provided the hosts with electronic scoreboards, a first for Cup Match at St. George's Cricket Club.

In continuing the more than two decade tradition of live radio broadcast, the annual Cup Match Classic will be aired on VSB Radio 1450 AM Gold with "The Voice of Summer", Mr C.V. (Jim) Woolridge.
In addition, the Cup Match Classic will also be aired live on the Bermuda Broadcasting Company's radio station FM89.
