HOTT will miss Miss Thang
April 17, 2012Dear Sir,I am writing in regards to Miss Thang’s layoff/dismissal from HOTT 107.5. I have been an avid listener of the station since it’s inception, until last week when I heard the news of Miss Thang’s ‘layoff’ (dismissal). It came as quite a shock to hear she was no longer with the station. Over the years, I had always found her to be a ‘Team Player’, an asset to the Inter-Island Communications Ltd. She was always doing for others; whether it was having cupcakes made and delivered to the station for a co-worker’s birthday or putting together a going away party for the station’s interns when they were going back to college. Let’s not forget ‘The Christmas Wish List’ (I know my son never will) and all the other charitable deeds she has done while she was on-air and off.I used to volunteer to help with the Christmas Wish List and got to know Krystie (Miss Thang) Burgess quite well. I have been through some very trying and stressful periods in my life over the past five years. Through it all I knew I could always count on Krystie’s upbeat personality and words of encouragement to bring a smile to my face. ‘Thanks Krys you will be missed!’. I am sure HOTT will realise it is their loss. There is a great new station on the airwaves VIBE 103.3 and that is where I am tuning in now. You should all try them! There is definitely something wrong with this picture but I can’t put my finger on it. HOTT said that they are laying Miss Thang off Yet in recent months they have added two personalities to Magic 102.7. HOTT, just be honest and be fair!DISAPPOINTED IN DEVONSHIRE
