Marsden First United Methodist Church, 151 South Road, Smith's, is serving as a help centre for anyone in need. Anyone requiring meals or other special needs can call the church at 293-8422 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.. The service will run at least until Saturday, September 20.

Anglican Cathedral: The Alpha Course commenced with a celebration supper on September 5 at 6.30 p.m. in the Cathedral Hall Church. The Alpha Course discusses the basics of Christian faith over a period of 11 weeks. For information call Angela Roberts on 295-1302.
Children of Destiny' begins on Friday, September 12, to Friday, October 3, at New Testament Church of God, Heritage Worship Centre. Activities your child might enjoy are: karate, voice training, cooking, introduction to sign language, instrumental music, introduction to debating, liturgical dancing, and introduction to public speaking. Choose two activities and register by calling 292-5214 for more information. Starting at 6.30 - 7.15 p.m. biblical instruction; 7.30 - 8.15 p.m., hands on experience.

St. Michael's Church, Paget will be hosting the New Life in the Spirit Seminar for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton. The introductory and signup session will take place on September 23 at 7.30 p.m. The Seminar will be held on seven consecutive Tuesdays beginning on October 7.
