Bermuda Microsystems to host Enterprise Technology Symposium

Bermuda Microsystems is set to stage one of its most ambitious IT conference projects to date ? The Enterprise Technology Symposium.

The conference, to be held on October 19 at the Hamilton Princess, is aimed at providing senior IT staff, chief information officers, chief technology officers and technical decision makers in mid to large enterprises with information to assist them in their purchasing decisions.

?One of our key customers has described this event as possibly the most significant IT event for CIOs, CTOs and IT Professionals to hit Bermuda this year,? conference organiser Bob Mellor said. ?We liked it so much we coined it as our conference slogan.?

Bermuda Microsystems president Philip Cooper said: ?It no longer needs to be that we in Bermuda are cut off from exposure to mainstream technology ? it should not be ? Bermuda plays a key strategic part in the global market ? its time we got global industry players to take us seriously.?

Speakers from heavyweights like Dell, EMC and Altiris will complement information booth presences from Symantec, DriveSavers and VMWare partner, The Omni Group and Digital Telephone and VOIP specialist, Bermuda Technologies.

?We?re aiming to provide the decision maker with a one-stop shop, where information from key vendors is available in one place, with key people from vendors available to talk over technology issues and solutions directly with the people that need to know.?

Included in the event will be a complimentary lunch, courtesy of the keynote speakers. Representatives from Dell, Altiris and EMC will speak for up to an hour and answer questions.

The event will climax with an ?Enterprise Technology Panel? ? all speakers will take to the rostrum together and field questions from the delegate floor ? a part of the conference that promises to be as charged as it is interesting.

The conference is free to delegates, though numbers are limited. For more information and/or to register, visit www.bmg.bm/ets.htm or call 295-2624 or email etsinfobmg.bm.
