Robinson runner-up in UK 5K

Bermuda’s Otis Robinson finished second in the latest Cannon Hill 5K park run, near Birmingham in the UK.It is the best finishing position the Southampton runner has achieved from 16 outings at the weekly event.Robinson found himself leading the field of 144 athletes for the first mile. However, he was eventually overhauled by Orlando Corea, who finished in 17 minutes and four seconds, with Robinson next across the line in 17.31.A week earlier the Bermudian, who is currently living in England, was fifth in the park run in a slightly faster time of 17.26.n Bermuda Track and Field Association’s national championships, starting tonight and continuing tomorrow, will feature a 10K race for the first time. It’s scheduled to start at 4.30 pm.
