Nottingham on fire for BAA
BAA 5 St. David’s 1Ross Nottingham scored a hat-trick as BAA swept aside St David’s in the opening round of the Corona League’s Bistro Cup.The deadlock was broken by Neal Churchill with the big striker slotting neatly from a Hunter cross.Hunter was supplier again, this time for Nottingham, whose low shot found the back of the net. Nottingham grabbed his second, finishing with his right foot minutes before the half-time whistle and he completed his treble with a neat finish.Bradley Simons added a fifth goal before the final whistle.Ajaun Lambe netted for St David’s.Flanagan’s Onion’s 7Valley 1Two goals apiece from Jimmy Caplice and Dave Martin pushed Flanagan’s Onions to a comfortable win over Valley.Assisting the pair in the scoring department were Phil Anderson, Clem Murdoch and Alan Kelly, while Herbie Dillas scored the lone goal for Valley.Tuff Dogs 6North Village Rams 1Defending champions North Village were sent crashing out of the Bistro Cup at the hands of Tuff Dogs.Lamaul Crofton and Jeff Franklin both scored twice as Dogs ran out comfortable winners.Kevin Hurdle and Yusef Pitt also found the net for the winners,while Nakia Smith scored the lone goal for Village.West End United 2St George’s Colts 1Cody Lima grabbed two goals to send West End United through to the next round at the expense of the East Enders.Rudell Pitcher scored the lone goal for Colts.
