PHC set to reclaim first place from Village
time since early January, while Devonshire Colts, Vasco and Dandy Town are all looking to close the gap after last night's loss by North Village.
The Zebras, leaders of the division before their mid-season slump, will go a point clear of Village with a victory over relegated St. David's, a team without a win all season.
Colts and Vasco will meet at White Hill in the match of the day and with just four matches after this weekend, both teams know the importance of a win.
Colts are presently fourth in the tables, six points behind leaders North Village.
Colts and Vasco met four times in December, with Colts winning three times, including 4-2 in their make-up league match to clinch the final Dudley Eve spot. Their 6-0 win in the first leg of the final was the biggest margin of victory for a first final.
Southampton Rangers desperately need a victory over Dandy Town at Southampton Oval as they try to climb out of the bottom three in the standings, a result which would also drag Town closer to the relegation zone.
The other match is a relegation affair between Somerset Trojans and Boulevard, which has been put back from tonight. Lamaul Crofton, who left the Trojans for Boulevard before the season, will be hoping for a happy return to Somerset while Trojans coach Gary Mallory will be looking to add to the troubles of his former team.
The race is intensifying for the lone promotion place with two points separating the top three teams, and darkhorses Hamilton Parish a further two points off the pace in fourth spot.
Leaders Ireland Rangers, held to a draw by bottom team Paget last weekend, are at home again for the visit of neighbours Somerset Eagles.
When the two teams met in November the match was abandoned after fighting broke out. That has been declared void which means if Rangers are to clich their first ever Premier Division spot they will have to do it playing one fewer game than the other contenders. Second-placed Devonshire Cougars meet Parish at Devonshire Rec., while third-placed Social Club play St. George's at Wellington Oval.
