Player pleads not guilty

Pan Am qualifying round in Jamaica pleaded not guilty to a charge of bike theft yesterday in Magistrates' Court.

Lamaul Crofton, 19, of Sandys Parish, who is due to leave on tour of the United States with the team this weekend, was charged with theft of a cycle, valued at $1,800 from Somerset Bridge Cycles.

He, and two others also facing charges in connection with the alleged theft, will appear in court on April 4.

Senior Magistrate, the Wor. William Francis, set bail at $400 and a like surety.
