Arnolds Family Store in Pembroke has received planning approval to create more than 20 parking spaces outside of the shop.

The Development Application Board recently gave the go-ahead to the grocery store on St. John's Road to create parking and manoeuvring space for 23 cars and 11 cycles.

Permission was also given for Arnolds to erect a loading bay for the store.

But DAB approval was granted with certain conditions and restrictions.

Prior to building, the store must apply for a separate building permit and the Board wants the site to be landscaped to preserve the visual amenity of the neighbourhood.

In other planning news, Enterprise Trust, on Bakery Lane in Pembroke, received approval to construct a new two-story building complete with an auto-body repair shop.

The new building will have parking and manoeuvring space for seven cars and seven cycles.
