I have taken three vacations there in the past.RG: What are you most looking forward to?N: Bermuda is one of my favourite vacation places in the Atlantic. I’m looking forward to the beaches. Perhaps I will take a moped ride around the island, which is something I enjoy doing. Most of all I look forward to performing for the citizens of Bermuda.RG: What can some of your fans expect?N: My band and I are looking forward to performing for the audience in Bermuda. We are excited to come there and we are prepared to give a well-paced and diverse musical experience.RG: What has been the most challenging throughout your career?N: The music industry is by nature a challenging business. There is always a challenge in managing business, the creative and personal life. However I have been very fortunate to sustain a successful solo career for the last 23 years.RG: How would you describe your jazz or do you cross genres within the discipline?N: I really do not try to describe the music that I play as Jazz only, [because] as an artist I enjoy playing different kinds of music.I have had the pleasure of playing with many R&B and Jazz artists in the music industry. I’ve enjoyed working with Chaka Khan, Prince, and George Duke, to name a few. I am currently working on a classical flute project as well. I don’t like to confine myself to one category. As an artist I enjoy many kinds of music and have been blessed to work with so many great people.RG: Where does your inspiration come from?N: My inspiration comes from a desire to grow and find new material that stimulates myself and my audience musically. I always enjoy starting new projects when the opportunity presents itself. I love to share new material with an audience, which is always inspiring for me.Tickets $65, or $100 for VIP are available at www.bdatix.bm, Caesar’s Pharmacy and Shine’s House of Music.
