Lambe’s Toronto denied victory

A last-gasp leveller denied Reggie Lambe’s Toronto victory at Houston Dynamo at the BBVA Compass Stadium on Wednesday night.Toronto, who appointed Paul Mariner as Aron Winter’s successor earlier this month, took the lead through Jeremy Hall before Bobby Boswell equalised for Dynamo.Koevermans notched his first goal just two minutes midway through the first period after tapping home Eric Avila cross.Former Dutch international Koevermans then extended Toronto’s lead just before the interval by heading home a Julian De Guzman cross. After a quiet start to the second half for both teams, Houston clawed back into the match when Geoff Cameron hit a sublime ball over the top to Brad Davis, who weighted a perfect ball into Will Bruin’s stride. The striker had time to pick his spot and reduce his team’s deficit. In the 90th minute Bruin did it again, this time set up by winger Brian Ownby.Bermuda international Lambe, who has scored four goals this season, came on as 81st minute substitute.Toronto return to the BMO Stadium to take on New England Revolution
