A man yesterday denied a string of charges that included drink driving, using offensive words and resisting arrest.

Kai-Rontae Durham, 25, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to the charges.

Mr Durham is alleged to have told one police officer to go back to the Caribbean and used racially-charged insults against another and told him to go back to England.

The offences are alleged to have happened on October 17 in St George’s.

Mr Durham also pleaded not guilty to refusal to take a breath test on the same day in Pembroke and speeding at 92km/h on October 16 in St George’s.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until April 9 and released Mr Durham, from Sandys, on $1,000 bail.

He ordered the prosecution to submit the evidence against Mr Durham to his defence lawyer inside 14 days.
