Hogges suffer fourth loss on road trip
New Jersey Express 3Bermuda Hogges 0Bermuda Hogges signed off their 12-day road trip with a fourth defeat in five games, losing to New Jersey Express on Monday night.Hogges, who have won just one of their seven games this season, fell behind in the 19th minute following a goalkeeper error by PHC stopper Troy Hall.Hall, starting his first game of the campaign, slipped while taking a goal kick with the ball falling invitingly for Express striker Kadeem Dacres who made no mistake from close range.The visitors, who lost to Express 4-0 at the weekend, found themselves further behind on the half-hour mark when Chris Karcz added a second.Just before half-time Express increased their advantage with Dacres bagging his second of the game to complete the scoring and condemn Hogges to their third straight defeat.Maurice Lowe’s side opened up their gruelling away trip with a 5-0 defeat against Westchester Flames more than a week ago.They then bounced back with a 3-2 win over Brooklyn Knights, the team’s first victory of the campaign, before losing 2-0 to Long Island Rough Riders last Thursday.This Friday Hogges will look to make the most of home advantage when they return to BAA Field against Ocean City.
