First Division champions Bailey's Bay finished the league campaign on a high thanks to a vital 49 runs from player-coach Ricky Hill at Sea Breeze Oval yesterday.

Hill, seldom called on to play this season, led his squad in reply to a respectable total posted by Trappers with Bay fortunate to find their former run producer in top form. Others among the runs for Bay were Cal Dill with 30, Yusef Pitt (28) and Dennis Pilgrim (20 not out).

Andrew Harris was the best bowler for Trappers, finishing with four wickets for 49 off nine overs while veteran James Swan took two for 41 off 10 overs.

Earlier James Broadbent slammed 58 to enable Trappers to reach their surprisingly high total against Bay's formidable bowling attack. James Kent followed on 26 and Chris Fleming hit 18.

Jermaine Outerbridge led the Bay bowlers with three wickets for 29 runs off nine overs while Pilgrim had two for 38 off 10 overs.

Somerset Bridge 165

Devonshire Rec. 166-5

As expected, Devonshire joined Bay in being promoted as a result of this five-wicket triumph over Somerset Bridge at Devonshire.

Lamont Brangman had a haul of five wickets for 35 runs off 6.3 overs to lead Devonshire in bowling while Dennis Williams took two wickets for 33 off six overs and Simroy Crossdale finished with two for 40 runs off nine overs.

Opener Dean Stephens was the top bat for Bridge with 31 while Ryan Sheppard struck 20.

Ricardo Brangman and Omar Amory spearheaded Devonshire in their reply, the openers putting on 87 with Brangman scoring 51 and Amory 26. Chris Daley scored 22 not out while Derek Brangman followed on 14.

Tacobi Robinson claimed three wickets for 46 off nine overs.

Warwick 200

Social Club 201-5

Footballer Dwayne (Streaker) Adams struck a whirlwind 85 not out to lead last-placed Social Club to their first victory of the season at Southampton Oval.

Although dropped on three occasions, Adams' heroics enabled his team to get something positive from the league after entering the day with eight straight defeats.

Adams struck 12 fours and three sixes during his stay at the crease while team-mate Dano Outerbridge scored 35.

Allan Douglas Sr. was top bowler for Warwick with three wickets for 39 runs off nine overs.

Warwick had a football hero of their own in Marvin Belboda who hit 46 runs while Allan Douglas Sr. hit 28.

Kenny Darrell was the top bowler for Social Club with three wickets for 35 runs off six overs.

Flatts, who had challenged for the second promotion spot all summer, had to settle for third place despite winning by default over Police.
