Enough is enough for charity
making an unusual request -- for people to stop donating items.
The Medjugorje Peace Plan Group, a prayer group turned charity, organised the transport of several containers of essentials to other parts of the world. And although the group now has enough goods to fill its last shipment, donations of clothing and other useful items are still being dropped off at the charity's Southside warehouse.
Yesterday group member Dorothy Pacheco pleaded to the public to stop leaving items -- but said that cash donations were still accepted.
A lack of cash means that the charity will no longer be able to continue its work for the time being and no further shipments are planned.
"We simply have not received any more money and therefore we won't be sending any more containers,'' Ms Pacheco said.
"We would like to appeal to any company or individual who may feel touched to contribute any amount to this worthwhile endeavour, to do so by sending a check to P.O. Box FL 267, Flatts FL BX.

No more room: The Medjugorje charity cannot process any further donations.
