What’s happening?Dear Sir,What the hell is going on there!!! I love your Island!! I have been coming to your Island since 1973! I usually stay at Cambridge Beaches in Somerset! I go on the internet every week and read about all the killings and robberies that you have. I can’t believe what I’m reading!! I know a lot of it is these young gangs across the island! But this is terrible!!

What’s happening?

Dear Sir,

What the hell is going on there!!!

When in all the years did you have all this trouble? Even now we have tourists getting mugged on the streets? And in hotels? Never would I believe this happening on your Island!!

If you can’t walk around your Island or take your motorbike through the beautiful areas around your Island why come? I keep reading that you’re on top of this problem!! You’re kidding yourself of course!! It’s getting worse!! You’re starting to get a bad reputation in the States, I can tell you that!!

I know you’re saying there’s crime in all islands and that yours is minimal!! But let me tell you!! Not in beautiful Bermuda!!! This is not the beautiful, kind and good people that all of us that love your Island know!!

You need to take contol of these youths!! And take care of this problem!! The word is getting out over here!! It’s like wakening up a sleeping giant!! Your Island is too good for this!! It’s in my heart since the first time I landed on your soil!! What lovely people and such a great culture!! I’m worried for you and your Island!!

Praise for honest cabbie

December 2, 2010

Dear Sir,

My husband and I arrived late on Wednesday night, or rather, early on Thursday morning on a delayed flight from New York. We were relieved to find taxis waiting at that hour and took one to our destination.

Along the way we had a lively discussion and enjoyed talking with the driver, however we did not get his name or any identifying information. After unpacking, I realised I had left my new laptop computer in the cab. I was horrified and worried all night, but thought there was a good chance the nice man would see it there in the morning and return it.

I am thankful to report that he did just that. I would like to thank him here for his honesty and consideration. His name is Bobby Stovell, Taxi 1056.

My thanks to you, Bobby,
