Bermuda Industrial Union has filed its financial accounts for 2003 to 2009 with the Registrar General, president Chris Furbert announced today.Mr Furbert declared the union in good financial shape despite months of criticism at its failure to present its accounts until now.He said the Registrar General should make copies available to the public by request for a small fee.One Bermuda Alliance interim chairman Michael Fahy has repeatedly claimed it’s illegal for the union not to let its members know its financial position.Mr Fahy said he has been approached by members worried there might not be enough money in the coffers to help them out in the case of strike action this summer.Mr Furbert told a press conference this morning: “I’m pleased to say that today the audited financial statements have been submitted to the Registrar as of yesterday.“We have done all we can to make sure we have got our finances up-to-date.
