Launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month proclamation on the steps of City Hall at 12 noon. All are welcome.

Breast Cancer Health seminar at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Nancy Roberge. Owner and director of the Chestnut Hill Physical Therapy Associates, talking about 'Quality of Life for Cancer Survivors'. 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Local vendors and information tables and refreshments.

Fish Fry at Christ Church, Warwick from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Take away or eat in $20 per plate. For tickets visit Keith's Kitchen in the BAA parking lot, Christ Church, Warwick or Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

Sail Festival at Barr's Bay Park on October 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A family fun day sponsored by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. There will be vendors, fun castle, boat viewing, races, pirates wandering about, the town crier and DJ Bubbles providing music. Call 737-0024.

1 in 8 Busting Out at The Elliot Gallery at Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, 27 Jubilee Road, Devonshire. Bermuda Cancer & Health have partnered with Gibbons Company and Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation in this, a unique expression of support, creating a visual impact of the disease.

Internationally known poet Melody Van Putten will be reading and signing Election Poetry, and Soul Poems: Life as Fertile Ground, and Obamatyme: Election Poetry at True Reflections Bookstore on Chancery Lane from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
