Aardvark appoints two more Bermudians
Two Bermudians have been appointed to the creative services division of Aardvark Communications.
Qian Dickinson and Erika Thompson complete a four-strong Bermudian team comprising creative director, Megan Pitman, and graphic designers Nikki Fagan.
Mr. Dickinson joined the team in May 2009, as web developer and expert in social media. Known best as the co-founder of VAonline.TV, Bermuda's first social networking and entertainment website, he is well-versed in this genre of communications.
Prior to joining the company, he assisted with the launch and ongoing development of the Government portal and the Bank of Bermuda, HSBC's website. He has also received TechWeek awards for Most Innovative Project in 2007 and Best Local Website in 2009.
Ms Thompson has returned to Aardvark as a graphic designer after three years working in the agency business in Toronto.
Prior to her new appointment, she was the creative director of online magazine The Lemon Life and before that she was senior art director at MARC Canada in Toronto.
Ms Thompson has worked for clients such as Ronald McDonald House (Toronto) and The Sick Kids Foundation. She has also received a Marketing Award Certificate and was the winner of the Astral Media Outdoor Competition, which awarded her with her work being displayed on 70 billboards across Toronto.
Ms Pitman said: "With the addition of Qian and Erika, our creative team is now uniquely home grown - the talent and personalities culminate to bring truly competitive creative."
