500 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday. The company's preference stock has now fallen by $3.25 since Bermuda Fire & Marine, which BF&M broke away from two years ago, went into liquidation in early November. BF&M's common stock traded unchanged yesterday, closing at $6.50 on volume of 900.
Long Botham Boats company, which owns Henry VIII pub and restaurant, fell by 25 cents to $8 on volume of 600. The company is losing its star entertainer, Jimmy Keys, next March.
The biggest climber yesterday was Belco, which increased by 25 cents to $21.50 on volume of 500. Also going up, by $1 , was the Bank of Bermuda, which ended the day at $20.50 on volume of 796.
Trading unchanged were the Bank of Bermuda's nine percent notes, which attracted trading worth $68,800; the Bank of Butterfield, which closed at $34 on volume of 3,512; and Bermuda Commercial Bank, which stayed at $12 on volume of 100.
The Exchange Index increased by 3.84 points to 1,166.24.
