Northlands celebrates virtual Christmas

Students and staff at Northlands Primary School have been working all month to spread Christmas cheer in the community.

The month began with the release of the song Christmas Time, by the Northlands School Choir, which has been playing frequently on radio stations Inspire 105 and Power 95.

Last week, staff shared with the community a digital Christmas card video of them singing the song, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

This week, Northlands will present their virtual Christmas production The Time Machine.

Each grade level is involved in the production which is virtual due to current Covid-19 restrictions.

Terry Henry, the music teacher at Northlands, spent countless hours creating the production in the safest manner possible.

It involved recording classes singing and playing instruments one student at a time, and then editing it to create a virtual choir and band.

The production has already received raving reviews online and will be televised on Channel 82 throughout the Christmas holiday.

The Time Machine will be broadcast on channel 82 at the following times: Christmas Eve after the 8pm Bermuda Shorts Christmas Special; Christmas Day at 9am, 1pm, 3pm and 9pm; and Boxing Day at 9am, 1pm and 3pm.
