Back to normal after Bertha
With Tropical storm Bertha passed and clear skies over the Island, cruise ship arrivals rose again to over 12,000 this week.
The Explorer of the Seas docked at King's Wharf on Saturday morning with 3,634 passengers. It left port on Saturday afternoon to St. Martins.
Arriving from Norfolk, the Grandeur of the Seas brought the Island 2,242 passengers. The ship is scheduled to depart at 5 p.m. today.
The Norwegian Majesty arrived from Baltimore on Monday afternoon, and is scheduled to return on Thursday morning. The ship carries 1,614 passengers on this trip.
The Norwegian Dream berthed at Pennos Wharf yesterday with 1,981 passengers. The ship will be departing for Boston on Friday at noon.
The Oleander arrived on Sunday, carrying 204 containers, including 54 which were refrigerated. The vessel also delivered five road trailer, two scissor lifts, one truck and one bloat on trailers.
The Somers Isle is scheduled to arrive at port this morning with 170 containers to be discharged on the Island, including three reefers and six trailer chassis.
Tomorrow morning, the Bermuda Islander is scheduled to arrive from New Jersey with 168 containers, including a trailer and a boat.
