Around the Town road races. And there's also likely to be new winners.

Kavin Smith, who didn't compete last year but has won just about every other local race he's entered since, including last Sunday's Butterfield and Vallis 5K, has indicated he will be in the field. He's expected to have the edge over defending champion Brett Forgesson.

And last year's ladies' winner, Alison Cameron, may also be hard pressed to defend her title against an entry which is likely to include Anna Eatherley.

Previously held on a Sunday afternoon, the event -- a three-mile relay followed by a five-mile individual race -- will now start at 9.00 a.m. using a slightly different route, but still starting and finishing on Front Street.

In the three-loop relay, each runner will complete one lap of approximately a mile while in the main event (9.30 a.m.) runners will complete five laps.

The loop starts outside Number Six shed on Front Street, taking competitors onto Court Street, Reid Street, Queen Street, Church Street, Par La Ville Road and back onto Front Street. Entries close today at 4.45 p.m.
