The Police Drug Unit has seized what a Police spokesman called “a quantity of controlled drug” after what appears to have been a tip from the public.In a statement released last night, the spokesman said Butterfield & Vallis wholesalers management was contacted and an active investigation is still underway and includes US law enforcement agencies.But further details about the type of drug, the amount were not released.The spokesman concluded: “This seizure represents a reduction in public harm, and is also another example of the significance of working together in partnership with members of the community.“We continue to thank those who forward information to the police either directly or indirectly through the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline.”
