The 2010/2011 school year was a wonderful year for Thomas N. Tatem Middle School (TNT). Through hard work and perseverance, we were able to win the annual Interschool Sports Track and Field Championships.This was the first time as a middle school that such a feat was accomplished by TNT. Our hard work and dedication paid off.Our rivals, Sandys and Whitney Middle Schools, could not measure up to our well-trained athletes.TNT was able to win three of the six champion boy and girl divisions: Jahkera Tucker and Elisha Darrell in the 12 and Under Division and Jaymie Darrell in the Under 13 Division.Our plan is to continue on a winning note, so watch out middle schools!Special thanks to our coaches Mr Maxwell, Mr Euler and Mrs Robinson who put us through the paces.In addition to Interschool Sports, we won the Pacers Relay classic, not once but twice, in the last couple years, making us the only middle school to date to accomplish such.We also won the prize for the middle schools with the most participants in the Telford Electric Mile, and the girls won the Butterfield and Vallis Championship.Our school has tremendous school spirit. We cheer each other on like there is no tomorrow. We had a vision, we worked with vigor, and we achieved the victory.TNTatem is the only middle school so far that has a track and field club.We would like to thank CTC Insurance Management (Bermuda) Limited and Validus Re who sponsored our Track and Field Uniforms.
