A Devonshire man has admitted two counts of marijuana possession.
Cavon Raynor, 42, was fined a total of $1,200 in Magistrates’ Court this morning after pleading guilty to having 7.51g of cannabis and two ‘grinders’ for using the drug.
Prosecutor Maria Sofianos told the court Raynor was found in possession of the drugs at the Southampton Rangers Club on June 28, after police spotted him clasping something in his right hand.
Police then searched Raynor’s Devonshire home, where they found the two grinders, which are used to break up cannabis in order to smoke the drug.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined Raynor $500 for each possession charge, and a further $200 for the grinders.
